The edit calendar dialog allows you to add or edit calendars. The calendar is the basic unit of storage in this program. Each calendar is stored in its own subfolder on your server.

Calendar Data

The calendar data section describes general information about the calendar including default permission. The fields in this section are described in this table:

Options

This section of the form pertains to options related to the operation of the calendar.

Viewing Options

Options under this sections pertain mostly to the display of the calendar views.

Menu Options

This section pertains to the display of menus.

Page Header

This section allows you to customize the header of each calendar page. Note that these items are disabled in the demo version. Any, or all, of these values may be blank. You may use a feature called replacement strings to fully customize the header.

Page Footer

This section allows you to customize the footer of each calendar page. Note that this section is disabled in the demo version. Any, or all, of these values may be blank. You may use a feature called replacement strings to fully customize the footer.

Standalone calendars

The calendar dropdown is a component of the icon bar. If you hide the calendar dropdown in each calendar, so that one calendar does not show the existence of another calendar, it is possible to create a series of stand alone calendars with this system. A stand alone calendar is a calendar that appears to be completely alone of the server. To create a stand alone calendar make it hidden and then hide its calendar dropdown (see the option under the Viewing Options section above).

Other customizations

The calendar editor presents a large number of settings however there are many other settings available that are not presented through this interface. Please see the calendar customization article for more information.

A very powerful feature of this software is called template based display which allows you to create an arbitrary HTML file. Into this file you may insert special tags (meaningful to this software only) which, when the calendar is displayed, are replaced with various portions of the calendar. This allows nearly unlimited control of the calendar's look and feel. This powerful feature is fully described in the referenced help article.

Another very important feature is called replacement strings which allow you to fully customize the header and footer of each page and/or calendar. Again this feature is fully detailed in the referenced help article.
